The purpose of this grant is to provide funding to Martin County Schools to support a project to extend its middle grades STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) program into the elementary and high school grades. Martin County Schools has partnered with NCA&T to implement the middle school STEM program and is working to improve technology infrastructure and the ability to provide computers to disadvantaged students through working with the Kramden Institute and ECU. Golden LEAF funds will be used for professional development, personnel, equipment, Paxton Patterson STEM learning modules, and supplies for their health sciences academy.
