Description:

This grant will assist Martin County EDC (MCEDC) with the establishment of an industrial shell building revolving fund which will construct a 50,000 square foot shell building for market rate sale or lease to a new industry locating in Martin County. When the building is sold or leased, the proceeds will be earmarked and used for future economic development purposes. The sale of the first shell building is expected to result in the creation of 60 new jobs, $15 million in new tax base and $1.68 million in annual payroll. The County has committed $1,231,436.94 to the project.
