Description:

The purpose of this grant is to provide funding to the Madison County Public School System to implement a 1:1 interactive classroom technology initiative at Madison High School. MCPSS has an overall graduation rate of 62%, which is the second lowest graduation rate in the state. Combined with Race to the Top funds, the district will use the Golden LEAF grant to assist with professional development and the purchase of laptop carts and other equipment to improve teaching and learning for teachers and students by establishing interactive classrooms.
