Description:

The purpose of this grant is to expand the 1:1 Digital Learning Initiative in Yadkin County to include Starmount High School. With the knowledge and guided practice gained from participating in the Friday Institute’s Leading Innovation Leadership Development Institute, the schools system plans to train teachers and deploy Chromebooks at Starmount High School by August 2014. The system has used Race to the Top funds to strengthen their infrastructure by adding wireless accessibility to each school. Two prior grant awards from Golden LEAF have supported the school system with technology planning and implementation.
