Organization:
Town of Farmville
Amount:
$101,824.26
Program Area:
Disaster Recovery Grant Program
County of Applicant:
Pitt
Year:
2018
Description:

Flooding as a result of Hurricane Matthew clogged stormwater infrastructure throughout the Town of Farmville. After the storm, the Town of Farmville recorded an inventory of stormwater issues and focused efforts to clean affected infrastructure. After multiple efforts, the proposed project area remains problematic, leading the town engineer to conclude that the pipe has been damaged. Golden LEAF Hurricane Matthew Disaster Recovery grant funds will be used to replace storm drainage piping and repair the area where the existing piping connects to the primary box culvert system.
