This grant supports the expansion of LGM Enterprises, LLC (“LGM”), a fixed-base operator at the North Carolina Global Transpark (“NCGTP”) that operates a fleet of on-demand jets in North America. Maintenance and repair of its fleet is one of LGM’s main costs. LGM is growing and has approached NCGTP about building a hangar with a paint facility that LGM would lease from NCGTP and use both to service LGM’s aircraft and to provide painting and related services to other businesses. If the NCGTP builds the hangar and paint facility, LGM’s subsidiary will create 145 new jobs within three years, 70 of which will be based at NCGTP and 75 of which will be pilots. The average wage of the jobs will be $60,138. The average annual wage in Lenoir County is less than $37,000. Golden LEAF funds will be used for the hangar and paint booth.
