Description:

This grant provides funding to Yadkin County for improvements to the Yadkin Community Hospital building and surrounding parking areas. The hospital closed abruptly in May 2015, resulting in the loss of about 150 jobs. The improvements supported by Golden LEAF will help the County negotiate with healthcare providers who have expressed an interest in occupying the building and offering healthcare services in the county. The county has already partnered with some practitioners who currently have offices in the hospital building.
