The purpose of this Golden LEAF grant is to assist with training and public infrastructure improvements necessary for the creation of 400 jobs in Columbus County. Golden LEAF funds will enable the County to locate in the Tabor City area a 1,000-cell close security prison that will be operated by the North Carolina Department of Corrections.
