This grant provided funding to Ashe Memorial Hospital for renovation and expansion of its Emergency Department (ED). The ED accounted for 90% of the hospital’s admissions, with over 11,000 patients a year seeking care at the facility. The project reduced long wait times, improved service delivery, and helped ensure the financial viability of the hospital.
