This grant provides funding to the Tuckaseigee Water and Sewer Authority to create additional sewer capacity in the Cashiers area. Over the past three years, the Authority has had to decline requests for over 35,000 gallons per day of commercial and residential sewer service because of lack of available capacity. The Authority anticipates that more than 50 FTEs will be created over three years as a result of this sewer expansion. Golden LEAF funds will pay for construction-related expenses.
