The purpose of this grant is to support the planning and development of a Parks and Recreation Program in Hertford County. Currently, there are no organized recreation programs for youth in the unincorporated areas of the County. Hertford County will partner with the Hobson R. Reynolds Elks National Shrine via a long-term lease agreement to upgrade, operate and maintain recreational facilities to serve all citizens of the County. Golden LEAF funds will be used for planning and as matching funds for other grants for the project.
Any project more than a couple of years old may not reflect current Board priorities.
