The purpose of this grant is to provide funding to Alleghany County Schools for a STEM/Model Classroom initiative that will help create a seamless approach to increasing the college and career readiness of graduates and improve the community’s workforce. The initiative aims to increase the number of students passing Algebra I and performing at or above grade level in STEM areas; and increase the percentage of students completing applied technology certifications while promoting higher competency in STEM instruction.
