Description:

The purpose of this Golden LEAF grant is to provide continued support to the North Carolina Community College System in the area of scholarships for tuition, fees and other related costs for a minimum of 330 eligible students attending any of North Carolina’s 58 community colleges. Eligible students will be those who reside in rural counties that are tobacco-dependent and/or economically distressed and demonstrate need. Priority for scholarships will be given to students from families adversely affected by the decline of the tobacco industry.
