Fire Station Roof Replacement

Organization:
Cypress Pointe Fire & Rescue
Amount:
$62,450.00
Program Area:
Disaster Recovery Grant Program
County of Applicant:
Moore
Year:
2020
Description:

Following Hurricane Florence, the Cypress Pointe Fire & Rescue Station began to experience damaged ceiling tiles and significant water intrusion through the roof. The station believes that wind during Hurricane Florence compromised the integrity of the roof as it was still within its expected useful life. FEMA Public Assistance and insurance are not available for this project. The station has attempted solutions including replacement of screws and gaskets as well as replacing sealant but have not been successful. Golden LEAF disaster recovery grant funds will be used to replace the roof.
