This award provides funding to Cleveland County to extend water infrastructure and prepare the 107-acre Farmville Road site in Shelby for industrial development. The county anticipates attracting an industrial user that will invest more than $115 million and create 225 jobs with an average annual wage of $60,000. Golden LEAF funds will support the waterline extension, construction, grading, and related site preparation.
