Description:

There is a consistent shortage of skilled farm service equipment technicians. North Carolina Industries for Technical Education will use the grant to conduct workforce development activities in rural communities for young people interested in technical careers. To meet the strong demand for farm service technicians, NCITE will cooperate with the Agricultural Equipment Systems program at Beaufort Community College and the John Deere AgTech program at Guilford Technical Community College to recruit and place students in these two programs.
