Description:

This Golden LEAF grant supports the Family Medical Center at OIC in Rocky Mount in an effort to increase access to preventive care and wellness for citizens of Rocky Mount and Edgecombe County regardless of their ability to pay for medical care. Through increased medical screenings, health education and other educational outreach activities, the center will increase wellness among the unemployed, working poor and uninsured. OIC will use funds to implement a marketing plan, hire additional healthcare providers, conduct outreach in the Latino communities and install a centralized medical management system.
