Description:

This grant provides funding to North Carolina State University (NCSU) to expand and improve the services provided by its cooperative extension agents. Golden LEAF funds will allow NCSU to add Area Specialized Agents who have the technical knowledge to address complex issues facing grain farmers and processors. Currently, there is only one Area Specialized Agent that focuses on grains to serve the entire state. NCSU will retain the new agents after the conclusion of the Golden LEAF grant.
