This grant will assist with construction and equipment costs related to the new Engelhard Medical Center. The new health facility will include an enlarged primary clinic and space for urgent care, health education, preventive care and management of chronic and acute illness. This new facility will allow the expansion of services and decrease the number of residents who have to make a 100-mile round trip to receive primary care services in Belhaven or Nags Head.
