The purpose of this grant is to support the Yadkin County School system with its effort to increase the use of technology in its schools in a way that will improve instruction and have maximum benefit for student learning. Golden LEAF support will be used to allow the Yadkin County Schools to access professional development, coaching and support assistance through the NCSU Friday Institute for Educational Innovation’s Supporting Technology Readiness Program. Grant funds will leverage Race to the Top funding that the Yadkin County School District is using to provide wireless access to technology in its schools for curriculum and instructional improvement.
Any project more than a couple of years old may not reflect current Board priorities.
