The purpose of this grant is to assist the Nash-Rocky Mount Public Schools (NRMPS) with the implementation of the 21st Century Professional Learning for Educators initiative, a 1:1 computer technology plan for student in grades 4-12. The plan includes professional development and incorporates best practices from a recent pilot program that deployed laptops to all students at three schools. Golden LEAF funds will be used for costs associated with professional development, such as training, teacher stipends, equipment and travel.
