Description:

The purpose of this Golden LEAF grant is to support continued work by North Carolina State University to help NC farmers meet growing demand for North Carolina-grown lettuce by researching the best performing lettuce cultivars, identifying promising areas for lettuce production, and analyzing issues related to nutrition, and disease and pest control.
