Description:

This Golden LEAF grant will provide funding to the Stokes County Arts Council to help complete construction and renovation of the Dan River Arts & Visitors Center. The Council expects over 80 local artists to sell their work through the gallery. In addition to serving as a business incubation site, the project will also provide education classes for artists and the general public to learn cultural arts employment skills, and provide an off-campus location for Forsyth Tech to deliver courses in workforce preparation. The total project budget is $900,000.
