The purpose of this project is to expand and upgrade the Town’s wastewater infrastructure located in the I-40 Corridor at Exit 31. The improvements will allow industries to locate at the site, including a new Haywood Urgent Care facility, which will create 9 new jobs upon opening, plus additional new jobs within 3-4 years. Golden LEAF funds will be used for costs associated with the public infrastructure improvements.
