Description:

The purpose of this Golden LEAF grant is to support the placement of five UNC-Chapel Hill graduates to serve as Carolina College Advising Corps members in high schools in Caldwell, Scotland, Warren and Robeson, and Edgecombe counties during the 2009-2010 school year. These advisors will serve designated high schools with the specific intention of increasing the college-going rate, particularly for first-generation college, underrepresented, and low-income students.
