The purpose of this Golden LEAF grant is to support improvements and enhancements of the Roanoke River Paddle Trail & Camping System as an eco-tourism attraction and asset for the development of sustainable tourism in the Roanoke River Region. Funds from this grant will be used for additional trail construction, an economic impact study, development and implementation of a marketing plan and strategic plan to guide future use and development of the trail system.
