The purpose of this grant is to provide funding to Martin Community College to support a project to renovate science and healthcare training labs in 2 buildings on campus and install new equipment. This modernization effort will help Martin Community College attract and retain students and qualified faculty, enhance the quality of education and better prepare students for jobs in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), healthcare and biotech industries. Golden LEAF funds will be used for space renovation and equipment for chemistry, biology, medical assisting, dental assisting and physical therapy programs.
