Bladen County is forming a FEMA-designated long-term recovery group. The United Way of Bladen County is involved in the formation of the group. While the group is being formally organized, the United Way will use funding awarded from the NC Hurricane Florence Relief Fund to address cases identified and vetted by the unmet needs committee of the long-term recovery group. The funds will support direct assistance to survivors including utility assistance, home repairs (building materials, labor), and replacement personal property.
