This award provides funding to Richmond Community College to launch an automotive technician training program at the new Hendrick Center for Automotive Training. Students will receive classroom and hands-on training in modern automotive systems and can earn up to 13 industry-recognized credentials. The college expects enrollment to grow from 16 students in Fall 2026 to 32 students, with 32 program completers annually by the 2027-28 school year. Golden LEAF funds will support training equipment, software, industry tools, and one year of instructor salaries.
