This grant will provide Carteret Community College with funding to establish an Automotive Technology Program. Automotive dealerships and automotive repair facilities in the area struggle to identify and hire qualified, trained technicians. This program will prepare individuals to diagnose, repair, service, and maintain all types of automobiles. The College has identified demand for over 220 employees at local dealerships and repair facilities over the next five years. Golden LEAF funds will be used for equipment and tools.
