Funds from this Golden L.E.A.F. grant will be used to assist with the creation of Appalachian Food Ventures, a non-profit, shared use, value-added food processing center at the Enka Campus of Asheville-buncombe Technical Community College. The project will serve farm-based value added producers and food entrepreneurs through access to low-cost processing facilities, training, and specialized services needed by small businesses to manufacture, process, or add value to food and agricultural products.
