Description:

The purpose of this grant is to assist the Alleghany County Library with relocating the library to the Blue Ridge Business Development Center. The re-location and expansion will allow the library to provide increased community access to technology resources and enhanced employment assistance. The new site will place the library alongside the Wilkes Community College satellite campus, and the Alleghany County Workforce Center, which makes it possible for the library to directly collaborate with these agencies in providing basic job skills training, employment search services, and basic computer skills training.
