Scholarships

The Golden LEAF Foundation has awarded over $18 million to college and university systems in North Carolina for scholarships to almost 6,000 children from rural North Carolina, since its inception.

Scholarships are available to students attending North Carolina Community Colleges, North Carolina public universities and North Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities. Click here to find your college or university and its system.

North Carolina Community College System

Golden LEAF has provided over 5,900 scholarships to help North Carolinians attend community colleges since its inception. Students are eligible for up to $750 per semester for curriculum students and $250 a semester for non-curriculum students. You must be a resident of one of the following counties (NCCCS's eligible counties) and be enrolled in or plan to enroll in one of the 58 community colleges in North Carolina. North Carolina public universities (UNC System)

Over 1400 students have attended North Carolina's public universities with Golden LEAF scholarships. Students are eligible for $1500 per semester ($3000 per year). Students attending public universities who wish to apply must be a resident of one of the following counties (NC public universities' eligible counties) and be enrolled or plan to enroll in one of North Carolina's public universities. North Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities (private colleges and universities)

Over 800 students have attended North Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities with help from Golden LEAF scholarships. Students are eligible for $1500 per semester ($3000 per year). Students who are enrolled in or plan to enroll in one of the NCICU system schools who wish to apply for a Golden LEAF scholarship must be a resident of one of the following counties (NCICU's eligible counties).
