Golden LEAF Foundation grantee agreements require that grantees
immediately notify the Foundation of any changes to the project funded,
including project goals, objectives, timelines or ANY proposed changes
to the grant budget. These changes require advance approval by the
Foundation.
Grantee agreements state: "If the Grantee proposes to modify the
budget, the objectives, or any other feature of the project funded, it
shall not expend any funds from this grant for such purposes unless the
Foundation has approved such proposed modifications in writing.
Moreover, no further payments shall be made to the Grantee in connection
with the project funded unless and until the Foundation has approved
such proposed modifications in writing."

Programs staff will discuss the proposed changes with you and provide
further instruction.
For budget modification requests, please submit in writing a request to
modify the budget. The request should include the current approved
budget and line items, the changes + or - to those line items and the
revised budget as the grantee would like to see it. A justification and
explanation of the changes should accompany the request. For convenience, grantees can use the Budget Modification Request Form.
